The TYC Auto Parts brand began in 1964 with production of assorted lighting parts and accessories for automobiles, Jeeps, and trucks to export to Southeast Asia and the Middle East. By 1986, the company had begun making OE-automotive headlights for other car manufacturers. Their first North American distribution center debuted just three years later. By 1993, the U.S. division of TYC changed to Genera Corporation and launched an expanded line of automotive parts including side mirrors, A/C condensers, radiators, cooling fan assemblies, and more.
