Failed an emissions test? This can be down to dozens of reasons but is largely limited to parts in the car Fuel Delivery System. Causes can be as simple as a leaking gas cap, faulty vapor canisters that trap gas vapors in the fuel return lines to damage to the EGR Valves that recirculate exhaust gasses and reduce nitrogen oxides. Increased emissions can also be down to skipping maintenance intervals with regular replacement parts like vehicle Air Filters to deliver oxygen-rich and cleansed air for better engine efficiency, and Engine Oil Filters to filter out contaminants that cause wear.
