Balance Shaft Chains work together with Balance Shaft Belts to cancel out engine vibrations at idling and high RPMs. These vibrations can also be caused by the EGR Valves that recirculate some of the exhaust gasses not functioning correctly. To prevent damage to gaskets and oil seals, also check the condition of the Crankcase Breather Hoses to ensure correct crankcase ventilation, and the timely removal of excess gas during combustion.
