What is a Protection Plan?

A Protection Plan provides peace of mind and financial protection from product failures. If a covered event occurs, you can file a claim and the product will be replaced at no extra cost to you.

Our Protection Plan ensures that you can enjoy using your product for up to 3 years without worrying about product malfunctions, power surges, etc. In other words, you are purchasing peace of mind.

When does the Protection Plan begin?

Protection Plans start when the manufacturer’s warranty expires.

How long are the Protection Plans?

Protection Plans have a 1-, 2-, and 3- year length. This ensures you have the protection you need during the lifespan of your product.

The longest Protection Plan option offers you the best value for the length of coverage!

Why do I need a Protection Plan if the product has a warranty?

The Protection Plan is designed to protect you when the OEM warranty expires. It ensures you get years of use out of your product.

The Protection Plan saves you the out of pocket expense of purchasing the replacement yourself.

The Protection Plans offers coverage that the warranty does not.

How do I file a claim?

Filing a claim on your Protection Plan is easy, fast, and convenient. You can call (877) 248-7707 or file online using Extend’s virtual claims assistant – Kaley. Just go to customers.extend.com to chat with her.

What will I need to file a claim?

To file your claim, you will need the email address you used at the time of purchase or your contract ID. Your contract ID can be found on the email you received after your purchase detailing the Protection Plan coverages.

Please remember to file your claim within 30 days of any damage occurring.

What happens when I file a claim?

Extend’s customer care team or their virtual claims assistant Kaley will either approve or deny your claim using the information you provided. If more information is needed a Customer Care representative will reach out to you.

Why was my claim denied?

Extend will send you an email with information on why the claim was denied. If you want additional information or feel like they have made a mistake, please reach out directly to them at (877) 248-7707 for additional support.

What is covered under the Protection Plans?

The Protection Plans coverage includes protection from product failures or breakdowns from normal use and power surges.

It offers coverage for mechanical, electrical, and operational failures that occur during regular use of the product. 

What is NOT covered under the Protection Plans?

The Protection Plans do not cover misuse or abuse of the product, consumable components (these are parts of the eligible product that are meant to wear out and the customer can replace themselves), loss or theft, damage from natural disasters, damage from third parties, and loss of stored media. These are the most common examples but please refer to the terms and conditions for a full list.

Why do I have to file a claim with Extend if it is a Sixity Auto Protection Plan? Who is Extend?

Sixity Auto and Extend have partnered up to deliver a helpful and comprehensive Protection Plan experience to protect your purchase. During your product's manufacturer warranty period, please contact Sixity Auto for support. All questions and claims regarding Extended Warranties / Product Protection Plans must be directed to Extend.

What happens when my product stops working after the manufacturer’s warranty has expired?

If you purchased a Protection Plan for your product you will file a claim and your product will be replaced if the product stopped working due to a covered event.

Your purchase will be replaced with a credit for the purchase price of the product. You can use this credit at your convenience to purchase the product you wish. A prepaid shipping label will be provided by Extend if they ask you to ship your product back.

What happens when my product stops working during the manufacturer’s warranty?

During the manufacturer warranty period you should contact Sixity Auto directly to receive support. Please refer to manufacturer warranty information and claims procedures by clicking here.

Can I cancel a Protection Plan?

Yes. You can cancel up to the expiration of the manufacturer warranty of the product and receive a full refund. After the expiration date of the manufacturer warranty you can still cancel but you will receive a prorated refund. If you have filed a claim and received a replacement your contract is fulfilled and will not receive a refund.
