As a leading manufacturer of closure caps, on-board vapor recovery components, and engine and transmission cooling components, Stant offers a variety of consumer products with extensive vehicle coverage including light-duty and heavy-duty vehicles. Stant product lines are manufactured to exceed quality standards and include thermostats with gaskets and seals, radiator and reservoir bottle caps, OE-style fuel caps, locking fuel caps, oil filler pipe caps, pressure testers and adapters, and fuel cap testers and adapters.

Stant’s Research and Development Lab is equipped to simulate the harshest of conditions, from dusty desert roads in Arizona to the brutal winters in Minnesota. Stant utilizes a dozen environmental chambers to recreate extreme conditions of temperature, humidity, salt spray, vibration, dust, and fuel exposure. These conditions are replicated to ensure all Stant products meet the stringent requirements of today’s automotive marketplace.

In 1898, Stant was founded in Connersville, Indiana. By 1912, the Stant Machine Company was incorporated, becoming the world’s largest producer of piano tuning pins soon after. Jumping into the automotive industry by 1921, Stant designed a lock for Moto-Meter temperature gauges on automotive radiators and developed the flying quail ornament for the first Ford Model A. In the 1930s, Stant produced many famous hood ornaments for classic cars including Lincoln, Packard, Pierce Arrow, and Auburn. By the 1960s, Stant had expanded their product line into the automotive aftermarket, and over the next half a century built their business into what it is today: an OEM and aftermarket powerhouse.
