How To Replace a Front Turn Signal

THINGS YOU'LL NEED:

  • Correct replacement bulb
  • No tools required although you may want to have a Kleenex or latex glove handy

HOW TO INSTALL A NEW LIGHT BULB

  1. To begin, open the hood of your vehicle. There may be a plastic cap you need to remove to access your front turn signal.
  2. To remove the old bulb, turn counterclockwise and either pull on the burned out bulb until it pops out or disconnect it from the wiring harness.
  3. You are now ready to install the replacement. It's important that you DO NOT TOUCH THE GLASS on the bulb when handling it or installing it. Halogen bulbs give off an enormous amount of heat and any oil that you leave behind from your finger (and you will leave oil) will eventually bake on the bulb and cause a heat crack.
  4. To install the new turn signal bulb, either push in the new bulb until it is firmly attached or attach it to the wiring harness, whichever is applicable.
  5. Turn clockwise to secure the bulb.
  6. There is only one way to connect the plug with the light so don't worry about getting it backwards. When the plug is secure reinstall the cap.
  7. Turn the ignition to on and test the light.

That's it. Quick and simple.
